DVD Escapades :)

So I told my Twin I would do this, so I am :) If you don't want to hear about my fairly ueventful morning (you know, unless you count getting SN DVD's an event, which I TOTALLY do, but that's me), you know, skip this LOL

Okay, so woke up EARLY so I could get to TARGET when they opened at 8am and scope out the locker calendar, and rocked out to Steve on the way.


Unfortunately, this is how they are packaged:


With just the notice that there is a calendar INSIDE the box, like they couldn't have stuck it INSIDE the plastic wrap, but showing the pics in it on the BACK of the box? Sheesh, whatever. So I asked for the BONES soundtrack, and alas, they didn't have that either. I wandered around the electronics department, they have the first two seasons on sale for $18.99 BTW, if anyone still needs those (and no, M, no Paley, I looked even though it was a BEST BUY exclusive, I figured I would try) and *sigh* I should NOT be left alone in any media section for too long cause I started looking at CD's and I was like 'Um, you only have enough for the DVD's, The Watchmen and to ship my Twin hers, and the BONES soundtrack, so stop shopping' LOL, so I put the CD's I had in my mitts back, and decided that since I have two copies of each season anyways, I should get perks with the second one, logical right? So I bought the one with the calendar on it :P Hee

Then after I killed some more time looking through the card section (dude, some of those are LAME) I bought my pretty new DVD and left, headed over to the next town (don't think I am nuts, it is 7 miles to get into the next town over from my front door LOL, not like I traveled far or anything).

I arrived way to early to get into Best Buy, so I went to one of my fave places, Barnes & Noble :) to kill an hour.


I looked at The Watchmen Twin, I really did, but I am not a graphic novel reader, it is too scrambled and just, I skip around because they are not sentence/paragraph form, and I just get all scattered. So I didn't buy that, but I did browse through a bunch of books and totally did a double take when I was walking down an aisle, I saw 'Bitch' on the side of a book, and it was IN THE TITLE of the book, (called 'The Bitch Posse' and linkage just in case you think I am making it up: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Bitch-Posse/Martha-OConnor/e/9780312333935/?itm=19 and I am totally putting it on my 'book list' LOL, looked good :). Also, they had the BONES Soundtrack, but it was more than usual (if you shop B&N media you know this, their 'sales' are like everyone else's regular prices) so I figured I would check out Best Buy since I was gonna be there anyways, and they are all in the same little strip of stores. Before I knew it, whoosh, time to go to Best Buy! DUDE, I got there at like 10:01 on my clock, and there were people waiting to get in! Check it out!!


HA! So I went in, and went over to the DVD section, and, dude, LMAO, the pic they have in the paper ad for it made it look bigger! And *shakes fist* it had the wrong license plate on it! Yeah, yeah, I know that was this seasons and all, but I miss KAZ


Wow, look how many they have :/ and yes M checked again, and alas, no Paley there either. But when I saw the 'wheelie' the front mini-Impala was doing on the first package, I snatched it up! Hee, it is still wheelie-ing, cause I haven't taken out yet! So got those, and went in search of the BONES soundtrack. But nope, they haven't even shipped it from the warehouse yet! WTF?! It came OUT today people! Get on pre-ordering that shit! Checked in with the Geek Squad, but that is an entirely different story, and don't have time to get into that right now. So, bought the two DVD's (one for my Twin, one for me) and went back to the car. Decided to check on something my Mom suggested, so away I went to World Market like two store fronts down :)


And lookee here!!!


SQUEE!!!! They have the mango licorice!! So I practically DANCE up to the register with my breakfast ;) What?! It is totally breakfast, hello FRUIT. So I am eating it now, and hmm, I don't know if it loses something, or if they make it a bit different for export, but it is different shape (longer and skinnier than the ones you sent me Twin) and tastes the same, but has a slightly different texture :) Either way, I can go there for a quick fix of them now! DAMN, forgot to check if they have Tim Tams, shit...

So since Best Buy didn't have the soundtrack, I went back to B&N and got it, which was totally worth it (although the annoying 'can I help you?' 'are you doing okay?' 'looking for something in particular?' 'let me tell you about our member benefits' 'here's a pamphlet' sales boy bugged the shit out of me!) Seriously, he said EVERY one of those phrases in like the five minutes I was in the music section, I was like, 'DUDE! chill with the A.D.D.' So I left, and packaged up the DVD to send, and stopped at the stationary store mail center (no lines, and on the way back from Best Buy) and learned something new (You know how I told you about how they don't mention the flat rate boxes Twin? Yeah, this chick is the one that told me about that, and apparently, if you use their 'address labels' and they say 'priority' anywhere on them, they charge more! HA!) So we took of the damn label, I wrote your name on the box, and it cut half off the shipping price off! WOOT! I forgot to take pics of the stationary store, sorry :P

So yeah, there we go, my little adventure to get SN DVD's :) took a little time, but totally worth it! They are so shiny and pretty! And so you weren't totally KILLED by reading this wonderfully drug out commentary, here are the 'extra' fruits of my labor! I included the pic in the middle of the calendar that has no month so you can see it, cause it isn't on the back pics that are included! Also, check the Impala wheelie!!


Calendar is about 5x7 (and I don't usually look at the months ahead of time cause I like to be surprised, but I just HAD to....I mean, I had time to kill! LOL) and the car is Hot Wheels car size (as you can see). So there ya go!
