Nope, he is 'Brainiac' if you read the comics....I think LOL, that's what he said at the con I went to. He is a Kryptonian artificial intelligence liquid basically, that manifests itself into the shape of a (hotass) human, aka James Marsters character (or Clarks college professor Milton Fine, of course he isn't human, so he's not a real professor, and he came from a ship that landed in the second meteor shower, he was like brake fluid LOL, slowly a dripping puddle of black oozey liquid that was coming from the ship, and then it just like built itself up to be James :P)
Very confusing, so I try not to think about it, and just appreciate the pretty :P
