First Stab at Icons :)

Okay, putting them under a cut, and I am kinda freaking out about 'sharing' them anyways, cause this is the first time I have made icons 'the right way' as far as I know, with the dimensions being exact.

Okay, so I went a little nuts and couldn't decide which 'angle' to use, so I made variations on them, and I know a couple will be probably just for me, but oh well :) Was so giddy I got them to 'work' had to share! :)

1. Please credit me if you take them, that would be soooo awesome :D

2. ANY and ALL comments/criticism welcome, even if you think they are horrid, I can take it, I mean, I in NO WAY claim to be good at this since it is my first go.

3. Want/Take/Have...LOL, always wanted to say that, okay sorry...They are uploaded to PB, so you can use this link (I think, I don't know what hotlinking is, so if someone wants to explain it to me, I may change this)

4 HELP! :) I want to add text and stuff eventually, but when I use the 'text box' in paint, it makes the space white around the words, so it doesn't work. Any of you pro icon makers are welcome to share the wisdom! :)

First of all, you need a new program. LOL
I heard a lot of good things about the program GIMP which is free i think. You should google it and see if it´s something for you.

As for your problem with Paint! I hope you mean the same Paint i have on my computer too. So i just looked and i think i figured it out. If you want to write something then you click on the big "A". Then, a little bit down you´ll find 2 small boxes with small geometric figures. One is so that the background is filled with color when you write something and one is so that the background is transparent. This one you have to choose and then the white box behind your text disappears. Here is also a pic i made so that it is more clear what i mean.

OMG! YOU are a GENIUS!!! :) You seriously kick ass! THAT was totally my problem! I didn't have any clue what those two boxes were! Thanks so much!

You´re welcome! I´m glad i could help you out.
I personally, i use Photoshop......but i heard from a lot of people who can´t buy Photoshop that Gimp should be very good.

Wow, there are a lot of options on there (just finished DLing GIMP), I have no clue where to start!

Looks like it's gonna be a project! :)
