ohboothOkay, I love that girl even more! Ruby is AWESOME!!! I love the snark and the quick wit, she reminds me of someone....oh, wait! It's me! LOL, not patting myself on the back or anything, and well, I am currently without demon powers, and not all people thing snark and the kind of smartass remarks that Ruby pulls is a good quality in a person, but seriously, all my friends say I am quick with the wit and sarcasm, so I LOVE Ruby! I think I may even have a girl crush one her!
And hmm...just thought about it, and that probably means I am a little too in love with myself, but hey, is there such a thing? LOL
Okay, anyways, episode now!
I was cracking up so hard, and had to pause the damn TIVO cause I was missing stuff when Sammy said "I'm Detective Bachman and this is Detective Turner" OMG! Seriously?!?! Even suburban chicks have to have rocked out to "You Aint Seen Nothing Yet" at one time! COME ON?!?!
Aww, okay, on a serious note, all you Dean lovers are gonna hate me, but I think that when you make a big threat like "Dean's going to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200, NO LOOPHOLES" in a TV show, you should back it up! So since he made that deal, I have been like "I really hope they don't pull a 'Hollywood' move and cheese him outta the deal really easily" and thankfully after what happened in this episode, I have a feeling Kripke is gonna rip our collective hearts out with whatever he pulls Joss Whedon Season 2 Buffy style!
OH, and so glad that they gave us some insight into Ruby, I mean, we Kripke himself said that "Red Sky at Morning" is his least fave ep from this year cause they made it "The Bela Show" but it wasn't like "The Ruby Show" tonight, well, not to me at least. The way I saw tonight's ep was the "Ruby helps Sam & Dean once again revealing a little of her past in the process Show" and yes, that is more of a mouthful, but hey, it rings more true to me.
I am soooo looking forward to icons from this episode too, I really want one that has a pic of Dean sitting on the bed with the caption "shortbus" LOL, and something with the "put a leash on him" line too! Ruby had so many good lines!
The one thing I was sad about, I mean, more than Sammy bruising his pretty form again, and the speech he gave Dean about being more like him was Dean kinda letting go to that last grasp of hope I am sure he has been clinging to since Sam told him Ruby could help him outta his deal. You could see the defeat in his eyes when she told him he wasn't getting out of it. Aww, who's the sad poor puppy now?
AND soooooo looking forward to Dean & Ruby helping Sammy become more badass, cause really, who isn't up for more of that?! OH, and one thing bugged me, after Ruby saved their asses ONCE AGAIN, Dean couldn't even hold out a hand to help her up, that bugged me, don't know why, thought it would be a kinda peace offering, but I guess THAT kinda chivalry is dead, like Ruby said "Winchesters are a kinda biggoted" (don't know if I got that quote exactly correct)

Date: 2008-02-01 02:50 pm (UTC)This is gonna be a little bit of a rerun, but like i told you. i'm in love with Ruby! The same way I'm in love with Ange and Addy. Which is also where the headline of this post comes from because... Well - hell i can handle that. Deeply complex person that I am.
Ruby - YES - Like I told you Hun, you've met your tv-alterego finally! I mean it was about time! I mean look at G and I - we've been there for a while with Bren and Ange respectively and I'm happy to for you in a way that really makes me an even bigger Geek.
pulling a Joss Whedon buffy season 2 - GOD i hope so, but you already know that. Who doesn't love getting her heart ripped to pieces? No one in this room that's who! We really are angst whores the two of us ain't we? I've been bugging bf about this ever since said deal was made - mainly because well someone i know refused to watch the following 8 episodes for the longest time. Basicly I want the pain. *hides behind Geek Boy to prevent the rage of Dean-girls* I want Dean to go to Hell. I want him to leave Sammy alone in this 'crap hole of a world'! Come on Kripke be brave! Face the wrath of the Fangirls. I mean that's what i respect most about Mr Whedon. He didn't/does give a crap about what the fans think. He'll kill even the most beloved character if that's what needed!
Now I know you have been telling me that My Boy is fine - but I don't know... Is he? I guess I have come to grips with the fact that pre-AHBL-Sammy is long gone, but I really don't want him to become the kind of person who kills without looking back and feeling bad. And yes it's true it would be helpfull for him to become more hardcore and Dean-like when he's left all alone in this 'crap hole of a world' (yes i really LOVE that line) but I also want the Sammy who is argueing the sanctity of life with Dean.
And in the spirit of 'overthinking it' that's part of the reason why the tiny scene of Sammy splashing water on his face was somewhat really intensly meaningful to me. He still feels the pain. Hey I'm not saying Dean doesn't - but he just doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve the same way as his Baby-brother does. So really seeing Sammy trying to get himself together like that gives me hope that maybe we can have both.
I think i'm loosing track of what i wanted to say, but maybe you're right. Maybe Sammy is fine. One thing's for sure I'm with you! Sammy becoming even more badass that should be interesting!

That crazy demonic bitch told him of the new Big Bad in town, that has MANY followers that are NOW all gunning for your Baby Boy. They don't wanna follow him anymore, they all wanna kill him to garner favor with the new power in Demonville, he may not be able to stealth his way into killing more demons by pulling his 'you want me to lead your stupid army' card anymore, because he has become the hunted without knowing it. I think THAT is what the 'face splashing' was all about, him contemplating "Holy SHIT! After Dean is toast (sorry for the crude, but really, toast in hell, seems like a good metaphor) I am going to be fighting off Demons right and left that are jockeying for a place next to the new "Demon King" and my whole "use them before they get the chance to use us" idea about Demons will be kaput because they won't want to gain my favor, they'll just want to kill me" SO, yeah, I guess I will hear what you think of my little theory in a week... ;)

Oh I had the weirdest dream last night! Seriously you need to ask me about it when I get back, because I don't want to get into it here - but trust me it's made my head spin all day, because I've been thinking about it all day and well I'm worried I might have talked in my sleep. LOL

AND my "Visit Tina" fund is going to get a deposit when I get my tax return check, screw movies and CD's, it is ALL going into the "Visit Tina" fund!! I thought it was fitting, since we did meet over an obsession with a certain Mayor...
