LA Con 2009 Postcard Project

So, I wanted to do something on a pretty large scale for the guys for the LA Con, so I decided to do this. I have been sitting on it a while, worried it may not get a big response, but I am throwing it out there, if it doesn't get a big response, no biggie. My Twin has been helping me the whole time, so much acclaim goes to her as well. And I wanted to emphasize these will be given to the guys in the auto line, NOT during panels.
I figured that the guys KNOW how much that we all love them by now, and you know, the crazy amount of international fans and all, but I wanted to try to like 'represent' that with a book. I mean, the size of the book depends on the amount of participation obviously. But I thought that I could get people to send a postcard from their hometown (your exact city would be best...so the guys see the variety of places they are loved, not just like funny or cute cards) for one or both of the guys. This way, the POSTAGE and the Card itself will be indicative of where it is from.
You would address them to WHICH guy's book you wanted the postcard in making SURE to add 'C/O Rochelle Strzykalski' because they won't be put in the PO Box otherwise. And there will also be a 'JOINT' section in the end of Jared and Jensen's individual books, in case you only want to send one to both of them, and want to compliment thier work TOGETHER on Supernatural. I think I may be confusing you, so here's an example:
Tiffany sends a postcard from Aarhus made out to Jared Padalecki (with the c/o noted on there)
Tiffany sends two postcards from Aarhus made out to Jared and Jensen
Gina sends a postcard from The Netherlands made out to Jensen
Gina sends a postcard from the netherlands to Misha
Debra sends a postcard from Dearborn Michigan made out to Jensen
Debra sends one from Dearborn, Michigan to Misha
Nicole sends two postcards from Ireland for Jensen and Jared
Melanie sends a postcard from Paris France to Jared
Robyn sends a postcard from Aussie land :P to Jared
Robyn sends a postcard from Aussie land to Jensen
Robyn sends a postcard from Aussie land to Misha
Robyn sends two postcards from Aussie land to Jared and Jensen
So, the books would be like this:
Jared's Book: 6 postcards (3 individual and 3 joint)
Jensen's Book: 6 postcards
Misha's Book: 3 postcards
And the kicker is, "How do you show the front and back of the postcard? How does that work?" Well, I have the 4x6 picture inserts for a notebook, and this way, they can pull them out easily if they want and they will be well protected. This way they can just pull out the book whenever they want and read a bunch of love from the fans all around the world reminding them of how widespread the love is.
PLEASE READ BELOW PORTION CAREFULLY
So here goes, THE GUIDELINES, cause I feel there should be some laid out:
- The Postcard has to have the CITY you live in as the front of the card. (If you can't find one of your city, then state region is okay, but the city or town is ideal so they can see the variety of places).
- The Postcard should be 4x6, and yes, SIZE MATTERS in this case. If they don't fit in a 4x6 photo book sleeve (I am sure everyone has one to check) they could be left out at my discretion.
- Play nice...but not too nice. Basically I wanted to use postcards so that there is limited space, so just give them a quick note about how much they rock, and please be rational, no: "I LOVE YOU LET'S GET MARRIED" stuff. Feel free to put your age as well, you will see why in the below clip why that would be relevant (Jensen is interested in the age range of the fanbase).
- Any project that they have done is up for grabs. (It doesn't have to be SN themed, anything they have been in that floats your boat you can comment on).
- You MUST include my name on the postcard, or the post office WON'T deliver it, I went through it all with them.
- Send an email to the account below when you send a postcard so I know to be on the lookout for it.
- Spread the word (okay, not a guideline, just a hope, if you think it's a good idea, spread the word).

AND...while we are on the ...erm....LA Con gifting topic, I has an idea also, so I betta let you know what it is, yeah? :) It may sound corny, and it may take some creativity or something to pull it off, but I can do it, if you don't think the boys would be all "erm, wtf is this crazy shit?".
